Plano-convex lens

A plano-convex lens is a type of lens that consists of a flat surface and a convex spherical surface, and possesses a positive focal length. This design makes it particularly well-suited for concentrating and focusing light, making it a valuable component in applications involving emitters, detectors, and lasers.

Coligh produces a broad range of plano-convex lenses using high-quality optical glasses and fused silica. To enhance their performance, advanced coatings like anti-reflective clear coatings or V-coats can be applied to these spherical lenses. These lenses are primarily used for collimating light in imaging systems, detectors, telescopes, and collimators, and also for converging light to a focal point.

Our manufacturing facility is capable of producing plano-convex lenses with outer diameters ranging from as small as 2.3mm up to 300mm.
