260nm Optical UV Broadband Filters FWHM 40nm Overview
260nm Optical UV Broadband Filters FWHM 40nm is an UVC bandpass filters which allow 260+/-20nm light to pass and blocking the 300-650nm wavelength range. It has a high peak transmission above 70%. Coligh manufactures the filter with a different process. It is hard coating and can maintain a long use life.

260nm Optical UV Broadband Filters FWHM 40nm Applications
- DNA/RNA Molecular Detection
DNA and RNA have distinct absorption peaks at 260nm. A 260/40nm UV bandpass filter can be installed in spectrophotometers or nucleic acid detection equipment. The 260nm filter transmits only UV light within the range of 260+/-20nm and cuts off the 300-650nm optical fiber, ensuring sensitivity and accuracy in nucleic acid concentration detection.
- Fluorescence Imaging
Some fluorescent dyes can be excited in the 240-280nm range. A 260/40nm UV bandpass filter can be used as an excitation filter to selectively excite fluorescent probes.
- Material Research
Some materials are sensitive to UV wavelengths. A 260/40nm UV bandpass filter can be used to trigger or detect surface changes.
