3.0μm to 13.5μm Diamond-Like Carbon Coatings Infrared Silicon Windows

Coligh manufactures infrared silicon DLC window protection thin films with a transmittance of more than 55% in the range of 3μm-13μm. They are extremely durable and provide good window transmittance and protection for infrared sensors.

3.0μm to 13.5μm Diamond-Like Carbon Coatings Optical Silicon Windows

Coligh’s 3.0μm-13.5μm diamond-like carbon coating optical silicon windows are high-performance window protectors designed specifically for infrared optical systems. We coat the silicon surface with a diamond-like carbon film, which is extremely wear- and scratch-resistant while ensuring a transmittance greater than or equal to 55% within this wavelength range. The properties of silicon as a substrate ensure the mechanical strength of the window, making it a suitable alternative to germanium windows in China, where the sale of germanium windows is currently prohibited. Infrared windows in this wavelength range are primarily used in mid-infrared and long-wave infrared thermal imaging, infrared detection, and laser applications.

3.0μm to 13.5μm Diamond-Like Carbon Coatings Infrared Silicon Windows Applications:

  • High-Power CO2 Laser Windows
In high-power CO2 lasers at 10.6μm wavelengths, laser welding and cutting are often fraught with smoke and metal spatter. The high-hardness DLC coating protects the laser, while the silicon material ensures high-temperature operating environments and protects the window from scratches.
  • Infrared Thermal Imagers
Infrared thermal imagers primarily operate in the mid-infrared and long-wave infrared. DHL-coated silicon windows protect the thermal imager’s infrared detector from contamination and scratches. Furthermore, the silicon window ensures the thermal imager remains operational even in extreme weather conditions.
  • Infrared Optical Sensors
In products such as gas analyzers, flame detectors, and temperature sensors, DLC silicon windows resist corrosion from various gases and resist impact from dust particles.
