Long wave pass filter LWP is always called longpass filter. It also can be called edge filter. It blocks shorter wavelength and transmit higher wavelength. Longpass filters could replace bandpass filters in the fluorescence applications.
Short wave pass filter SWP is always called shortpass filter. It transmits shorter wavelength and block longer wavelength. It usually can be used in cameras to block the unwanted near infrared light
