Optical infrared IR longpass filter is an optical filter which can block the short near infrared wavelength and transmit the infrared long wavelength. Coligh is a China manufacturer of optical infrared IR longpass filters.

Material Substrate Of 1200nm-11400nm Optical Infrared IR Longpass Filter
Among all the infrared long-pass filters, we select sapphire, silicon, and zinc selenide as substrate materials based on their various material properties.
- Silicon is our preferred material, offering excellent transmittance in the 1.2-8μm band and excellent performance in the mid-infrared and long-wave infrared bands. Silicon’s inherent physical properties make it particularly well-suited for high-power infrared systems or those requiring heat dissipation. Furthermore, its low density and lightweight nature make it suitable for applications such as infrared detector windows, thermal imaging systems, and drone infrared cameras.
- Sapphire is another material of choice. With excellent transmittance from the ultraviolet to the mid-infrared, it is well-suited for filter design in the short-wave infrared to mid-wave infrared range. Furthermore, its high hardness, second only to diamond, makes it suitable for use in harsh environments. Furthermore, sapphire is extremely chemically stable, resistant to acids, alkalis, and corrosion, making it suitable for outdoor use or high-humidity environments.
- Zinc selenide is also used as a substrate in our infrared long-pass filters, but in a smaller proportion. Zinc selenide has an ultra-wide transmittance range, with good transmittance from 0.5-20um, which facilitates dual-band imaging in the visible and infrared bands.

Infrared longpass filters can block interference from visible light. When used for infrared imaging, they can be used in night vision devices, infrared thermal imagers, or infrared guidance systems.
