Our FAM/SYBR Green/Alexa Fluor 488 PCR Fluorescence Filter Set consists of three filters: an excitation filter at 470/30nm, an emission filter at 520/20nm, and a dichroic mirror at 505nm. They feature the following characteristics:
- Specifically optimized for the most commonly used green fluorophores in qPCR, suitable for green channel fluorophores such as FAM/SYBR Green/Alexa Fluor 488
- Transmittance of the excitation filter, emission filter, and dichroic mirror all exceed 90%. High transmittance ensures a high signal-to-noise ratio, enhancing fluorescence signal stability
- All filter center wavelengths have tolerances within +/-3nm, ensuring precise band control
- Cut-off depth OD ≥ 6 blocks all stray light, guaranteeing a dark and pure background
- Utilizing ion-assisted coating technology, the hard coating process ensures exceptional durability and long-term stability under various environmental conditions

FAM/SYBR Green/Alexa Fluor 488 PCR Fluorescence Filter Set Application
- SYBR Green dye
SYBR Green has a maximum excitation wavelength of ~497 nm and a maximum emission wavelength of ~520 nm. This filter set’s excitation band (~488 nm) and emission band (~520 nm) are precisely tailored for it. The filter set ensures maximum excitation light energy reaches the dye while selectively collecting only the target fluorescence signal. It effectively blocks background fluorescence and scattered excitation light potentially generated by other components in the reaction solution, thereby achieving the highest signal-to-noise ratio. - FAM-labeled probes
FAM is currently the most widely used reporter group for qPCR probe labeling, with maximum excitation at ~494 nm and maximum emission at ~518 nm—spectral characteristics nearly identical to SYBR Green I. FAM-labeled probes only fluoresce upon specific amplification. This filter set ensures efficient capture of FAM signals. - Alexa Fluor 488
Due to near-complete spectral overlap, any filter set designed for FAM/SYBR Green can be seamlessly used for Alexa Fluor 488 detection.
