2940nm Er:YAG Laser Handle Applications
- Skin resurfacing: The 2940nm beam splitter divides a laser beam into multiple micro-beams. Each micro-spot vaporizes the epidermis or superficial dermis, forming a regular ablative dot matrix on the skin. This removes aged keratin from the skin surface, resulting in a smoother, more refined texture.
- Wrinkle Reduction: The 2940nm laser handpiece is commonly used to improve fine lines or wrinkles around the eyes, mouth, and forehead. When performing micro-ablation in these areas, it triggers the skin’s wound healing response and promotes the formation of new fibroblast cells.
