940nm Polymer on Glass Diffuser FOV 110°x80° Product Discription

This 940nm POG diffuser, independently designed and manufactured by Coligh, is specifically developed for high-power LiDAR and 3D ToF applications. It shapes the output from a VCSEL light source into a 110° x 80° rectangular beam, ensuring high-precision coverage of the illuminated area. Utilizing POG micro-nano fabrication technology, the diffuser is suitable for use in industrial AGV navigation radar, obstacle avoidance and SLAM systems for service robots, and solid-state LiDAR.

940nm Polymer on Glass Diffuser FOV 110°x80° Key Features

  1. POG technology combines the stability and high laser damage threshold of glass substrates with the micro/nano-structural precision of polymers, enabling operation at high temperatures.
  2. This diffuser shaping element features a thickness of 0.45 ± 0.05 mm—a slim profile suited to the requirements of AR/VR devices and smartphone Face ID systems.
  3. We offer customization services such as fine-tuning the field of view (FOV), customizing substrate thickness, and precision shape cutting.

940nm Polymer on Glass Diffuser FOV 110°x80° Applications

Industrial Radar

Solid-state and hybrid solid-state LiDAR systems utilize wide-field-of-view flood illumination combined with SPAD/SiPM arrays to achieve fully solid-state scanning. Integrating this diffuser into the LiDAR transmitter module allows the 110° × 80° field of view to precisely meet forward-facing detection requirements.

Industrial AGV/AMR Autonomous Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance (ToF)

Industrial AGVs and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) require real-time detection of ground obstacles, overhead pipes, forklift tines, and personnel suddenly approaching while moving at high speeds. The diffuser is assembled onto the transmitter of the robot’s forward-facing ToF depth camera, which is mounted in the center-front section of the vehicle body. Light emitted from the VCSEL passes through the diffuser to create a 110° × 80° flat-top flood pattern, uniformly illuminating the travel path and the areas on both sides.

Security and Surveillance 3D Sensing

In smart transportation applications, long-range 3D depth sensing requires coverage of multiple traffic lanes or expansive plazas. A single unit with a 110° × 80° field of view can cover a typical four-lane intersection (two-way traffic) or a large entrance/exit plaza, while the flat-top beam profile ensures consistent brightness for both distant and nearby targets.
