Coligh has developed a 940nm VCSEL optical diffuser specifically designed for 3D sensing and Time-of-Flight (ToF) applications. This beam-shaping component delivers a precise 110° (H) × 90° (V) field of view, homogenizing the output of high-power 940nm VCSEL sources into a flat-top energy distribution; it provides exceptionally uniform flood illumination for structured light, iToF, and dToF cameras. Utilizing a mature POG hybrid micro-nano structure, the component achieves a window efficiency exceeding 60%. It features a thickness of 0.45mm, with dimensions that can be flexibly customized.

3D Facial Recognition
3D facial recognition door locks and payment terminals must accommodate users ranging from children (1.2m tall) to adults (1.9m tall) and support unlocking from side angles. Conventional vertical fields of view (FOV) of 70–85° often result in missed detections; however, a 110°×90° ultra-wide-angle rectangular light field ensures full illumination regardless of the user’s standing position or height. A 940nm VCSEL with an optical diffuser providing a 110°×90° FOV can be integrated into smart locks or payment terminals to evenly illuminate the user’s face and torso.
AR/VR Indoor Hand Tracking
AR/VR devices require hand-tracking capabilities for interaction. A 110°×90° FOV aligns with the range of binocular stereo vision and hand interaction zones, ensuring all movements are captured.
